Technical content people can follow

I write developer documentation, how-to guides and technical articles for software products. My engineering and development background helps me work through the details, ask useful questions and explain a process in language the intended reader can follow.

A first-time user needs a different starting point from a developer integrating an API. Before drafting, we define the audience, what they already know and what they should be able to do after reading. That decision shapes the structure, examples and amount of explanation.

For a documentation project, I work from product access, existing material and conversations with the team. Examples and instructions are checked against the supplied product or environment. Where a detail cannot be verified, I raise it for review instead of filling the gap with an assumption.

What we can work on

  • An outline built around the reader and their task
  • Draft documentation, tutorials or articles in the agreed format
  • Clear examples and a consistent terminology
  • A review round to resolve technical and editorial feedback

Project questions

Can you update existing documentation?

Yes. We can start with a content review, identify missing or outdated steps and agree which sections to improve first.

What should I send with a brief?

Include the audience, product, intended format, existing references and the outcome you want the content to support.
