Building a Food Ordering App with React Native and Expo Go
I developed a food ordering app using React Native to explore mobile app development and create a simple, user-friendly ordering experience.
I started by designing the interface, including food listings, product details, and the ordering flow. I then built the UI using React Native and used Expo Go to preview and test the app directly on my phone without needing to build an APK during development.
Throughout the process, I tested the interface, fixed issues, and improved the overall user experience.
What I Learned
Using Expo Go made development faster and easier by allowing me to see changes on my phone in real time. I also learned more about React Native components, mobile layouts, and building reusable UI elements.
Most importantly, I learned that developing an app goes beyond writing code. Testing, usability, and continuous improvement are essential to creating a good product.
This project strengthened my understanding of mobile development and gave me a foundation for building more advanced applications in the future.
